Racing Chinook Half in Calgary tomorrow

After my win in Wasa last weekend (full report to come), I decided on Wednesday to race the Chinook Half Ironman tomorrow. This is a great event organized by Mike Bock and should be a fun day. My coach Jack and I decided this would be a good tune up race and another opportunity to go out and suffer. Today my body feels very tired, but by time the horn goes tomorrow I know the excitement will take over.

The race starts at 8am with a 2km swim in Lake Midnapore, then bikes 96km on Highway 22x to the Kananaskis info center and finishes with a nice 21.1km run around Fish creek park.

  1. Grant! Amazing races – congrats! I hope you are feeling happy and really proud of your results. Pretty cool that you got the top splits for each event in the half. Good luck with your other races this season. Natasha
