Yesterday I was volunteering for the Kronos Kids of Steel Triathlon. They had children competing from the age of 4-18. The weather was a little chilly, but everyone had a great time. It was a blast to watc the kids get out there and enjoy every moment. Some looked like they weren’t sure what they were getting into, but the grin on their face as they crossed the finish line said it all.
Many adult triathletes could learn alot from these kids. Their energy, enthusiasm and agility is something we must all remember when competing. I was also asked to present the medals to the winners in each category. I am a big advocate of healthy living and seeing over100 kids out on a brisk 4*C morning to do a triathlon was very refreshing. I’ll see if I can round up some pictures of the race and the especially the young ones on thier training wheels.
Enjoy the day,
